Counselling Cell

St Francis Institute of Technology has a full time Counsellor, (M.A. Psychology) working with the institution since June 2003. The Counsellor’s prime responsibility is to aid students in several ways. Apart from providing the right guidance, career counselling and support, the counsellor also addresses several academic related issues and personal problem. This is in addition to aiding students with family problems, stress and anxiety and coping with separation and new relationships. However addressing problems are not the only area of focus as the counsellor also assists with enhancing in program concentration and study skills to further develop the all round abilities of a student.
The counsellor has also started a social service club, ‘Angels Club’ which includes student members who have conducted events like:


- Blood donation drives
- Social awareness programs
- CRY workshops.
-Newspaper and old clothes drives

It also arranges for visits to institutions like:
- The Cancer Patients Association
-Shishu Bhavan
-Shantidaan ( A Mother Theresa Institution)
-Premsang -Home for street children.
-Cheshire Home, to enhance sensitivity in students towards social issues.
