Set up in the year 1999, SFIT Library aims at procuring all important documents related to the principal as well as allied subjects of engineering. It is also strengthening its information base for foreign periodicals by acquiring the journals in an electronic form as far as possible. SFIT Library has a rich collection of over 13,000 documents.

Initially, we operated with an In-house software. In the year 2001, we bought Librarian 5.6 version (Soft-Aid) and now since 2004, we are using LibSuite WebOPAC version, thus launching our library on the Internet.

Our Library is an automated , open access library with a collection of more than 13,000 documents as well subscriptions to all the major newspapers, periodicals, publications and journals, technical as well as non-technical, national and international. Various kinds of Entrance Examination Tests and Reference Books like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries and almanacs are also available to the students. This immense reservoir of information and learning is a source of constant value addition to the students and faculty as well. The Main streams include major collections on Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication.

The Institute houses four departmental libraries as well. These libraries are enriched by the addition of books by way of purchase and donations from faculties every year.
