St. Francis Institute of Technology was established in the year 1999-2000 with a view to fulfill a long felt public need for an excellent engineering institute in the Mumbai suburbs. Situated in the vicinity of National Park in Borivli, St. Francis Institute of Technology stands tall, surrounded with lush green environment, with the flora and fauna that is unmatched with any other Institute of Technology in the western suburbs of Mumbai.  Set over 5 acres of sylvan surroundings, the portals of this hallowed center of technological learning comprise of a total built-up area of approximately 11550 sq. mts. in a mammoth seven-floor structure with about 60 a/c rooms, tutorial rooms and  laboratories fully equipped with the latest technological infrastructure catering to about 1000 students every year.
