Angels' Club

Angels’ Club

Angels’ Club was introduced in SFIT to create awareness among staff and students regarding various social service activities like visiting old age homes, cancer patients, etc and to enhance sensitivity in students towards social issues.
Objectives:

  • To encourage the students to pursue academic and extra-curricular goals.
  • To provide students with a platform for social work.
  • To help develop a humane approach towards the underprivileged and the needy.

This committee consists of 6 staff members and120 student members. The club looks forward to making a real and lasting difference in the community by using the time and skills of the staff & students.

The various events organized are as follows:

  • Carried out a donation (cash) drive for Cancer Patient Association (CPA), on 22/9/2008.
  • Carried out a donation (cash & Kind) drive for Shanti Dhaan, Gorai, Borivli on 6/10/2008.
  • Carried out a donation (cash & Kind) drive for Shishu Bhavan (Adoption Centre) on 21/9/2010.
  • Blood donation drive for Holy Spirit Hospital was conducted on 25/9/2010.
  • Newspaper and old clothes drive was conducted on 2/3/2011 and diner was sponsored to Premsang.
